The tropical architectural layout of the Tabanan house often unites the inside and the outside. Not infrequently the family room is not in a closed room. This context sparked designers to take inspiration from the laid-back bale typical of Tabanan’s tropical architecture, which is often a place to relax and gather for families.

The temple is a place to store both history and artifacts from the kingdom; a function that is very relevant to storage cabinets used to store objects (artifacts) that are meaningful to their users. The visual element of the “Head” section in the proportion of the temple gate becomes the basis for exploration of design elements.

TV viewing program is when we sit comfortably to see visual movements. In the context of the Tabanan people, a similar comfort can be felt when they sit on the beach and watch the movement of the waves in the afternoon. The half circle on the TV console and table lamp symbolizes the sunset in Tabanan.

In every traditional Balinese house, there are several bale-bale, each of which has a function and
meaning. Sanggah or what is called Pamerajan is a holy place for to put offerings. The structure of
Sanggah can be found in the base structure of the sofa.

Tabanan’s signature rice field is designed with the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana. The shape and function of the rice field, which has steps to hold water, is interesting to implement as inspiration in design.
